Suspended Doctor Bully Bay Wastes Yet More of My Time by claiming to Sue Me for Defamation (#Winning?)

Today, I found a ‘surprise’ waiting for me at the Post Office when I went to pick up my mail. A letter from the Suspended Doctor™️ Billy Bay. Or, as I prefer to think of him, Bully Bay or just Silly Billy - whatever is easiest.

In this letter, attached below, Bully threatens to sue me for defamation for the ‘crime’ of telling people that I believe he has lied when he claimed that it is a matter of life or death that he not be criticised because he is no longer able to work due to his suspension by AHPRA. In fact, he said that donations from the kind souls in our community are the only way he can possibly support himself. *

This is simply not true. Neither AHPRA nor any other government department has the ability to stop a person from working. They only blocked his employment in mainstream medicine.

So Bully is gaining money from our suffering community under false pretences and I exposed that along with several other long-time supporters of health freedom and informed choice. What does he want from me?

It seems that the only thing that will make Bully happy is if I take down the Substack post below as well as all comments to that post. (all 45 of them)

This last week has shown that even those who question mainstream beliefs still haven’t quite gotten to understand that not everyone in our community is trustworthy on every issue. There are bad actors and people who are just - for whatever reason - saying things that are not based on reality.

A letter of concern - more “Winning”

Bully states in his letter of concern that:

I note that your defamtory comments were broadcast to all your more than 4,000 subscribers. I note that you did not seek comment from me before publishing this article. I also note that you have continued to publish this article despite me asking in the comments section of your article to take it down.

…I also note that you are aware that this publication will make you a target of legal action in the paragraph entitled, “Will Billy [sic] Bay now come after me for telling the truth about his actions?

Bully then goes on to list all of the things I said that he considers to be defamatory without once providing any evidence or justification as to why everything I said isn’t 100% factual.

I don’t believe that anything I said is either untrue or defamatory but if Bully would like to press the matter, that is totally up to him. He should be aware that defamation is the most expensive legal action in Australia and should he decide to go down that route, I will ask for security of costs up front before issuing any response.

Bully also claims that stating my opinion of his actions has damaged his reputation. Sadly, I feel he has done that himself over the last year. But again, if he believes he has a case, please do bring it.

Oh, also he claims to have texted me on September 10th stating that:

Meryl Dorey I hereby ask you to stop attacking me publicly without speaking with me privately at all. These matters should be discussed properly first before making damaging accusations. I look forward to your response.

You have until 8pm 10 September 2023 Meryl to take your article down or I shall proceed with a concerns notice.

Sadly Bully, you sent this to the wrong phone number and I never received it. Not that it would have made a difference if I had gotten it.

Censorship from our own side is not on

I have no intention of taking down my article or of changing a word of what I said. Nor will I take down any of the comments.

Better than you have tried to censor me for nearly 3 decades and they have not been successful. Perhaps it’s time for you to do some deep soul searching Bully and try to work out why you are actually involved with this issue. Because as far as I can see, it doesn’t appear that caring for our community and the lives of the children and adults therein is your main motivator.

• Please note - I have left the address and phone number in because neither of them is correct - I’m not doxxing myself. And Bully’s address is also there because it’s just a PO Box. I also will not be wasting any more of my time or yours on this subject in future so this should be the last time you will hear about Bully on this Substack.
