Over the weekend, I published 2 important Substack posts regarding moves by 2 separate government entities to restrict our access to information and our right to freely and publicly discuss what we believe to be true.

The links to these links are below this post.

Today, I found the page where you can make a submission regarding this proposed legislation.

Click the image below which describes how to have your say and you will be taken to the page. As I said, your submission does not have to be more than 1 paragraph long simply stating what your objections are to this policy. But it is VITAL that you do make a submission and as all of your friends, family, business associates and anyone else you know to do the same. Be sure to follow the instructions to leave your full name, an organisation name if you are writing on behalf of an organisation, and your contact details and let them know if you want your submission to be made public or kept confidential.

If you feel so moved, I would love it if you would send me a copy of your submission at admin@myinformedchoice.com.au

I promise to never reveal your identity but I reserve the right to publish your de-identified submission to encourage others to also write in.

The actual Bill, the notes and other information are also on the page linked above so do take the time to look them over and download them to share as well.

The government reveals that they really don't fear hate speech on Social Media platforms - it's the truth they are terrified of!
Yesterday, I posted about the eSaftey Commissioner, Julie Inman Grant, bemoaning the fact that Twitter under Elon Musk was supposedly allowing hate speech on the platform though in reality, hate speech, the sharing of child pornography and online threats have gone down markedly since he took over.
Julie Inman Grant: Australia's Chief Censor who wants to "recalibrate" your freedoms
Watch now (23 sec) | Julie Inman Grant is Australia’s eSafety Commissioner. In other words, she is the one who tells people what they can and cannot publish online. And you thought we had freedom of political speech in Australia as guaranteed by High Court Decisions! Think again. This unelected bureaucrat thinks she trumps the law in this country.
