Question about paid subscriptions - would you please take a moment to respond?

It has taken me a VERY long time to consider charging for my work on this substack. As a volunteer for nearly 30 years with the Australian Vaccination Network, it never sat well with me to ask people to pay for what I do. But I also feel that my contribution is valuable and it takes a great deal of time for me to research and write here. 90% of what I publish is provided free - it is the longer, more complex articles that are behind a paywall for a short period of time. So I just wanted to poll those who haven’t yet signed up for a subscription to see what they feel about the information I have to offer.

I know that times are very hard right now and I never want anyone to feel that there is an obligation to pay, but I do think it could be instructive for me to know what you like (and don’t like) and what you feel about the pay-per-substack model of writing here.
