This is the first of a two-part discussion by a consultant surgeon of the damage done by the government’s irrational Covid policies.
WHEN it comes to the last three years, there is a lot I do not know. What I do know is that I have many questions. Was the ‘pandemic’ a ‘plandemic’? It certainly felt like it. Did the virus escape from a lab? What exactly is a virus? What precisely was the role of the US Department of Defense, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and Dr Anthony Fauci in the origins of SARS‑CoV‑2? Why would anyone in their right mind carry out gain of function experiments; isn’t this simply biowarfare by another name? Why did our Government, in lockstep with most other countries, introduce lockdowns, mask mandates and social distancing when there has never been any evidence to show their efficacy? Why were alternative, cheap and easily available therapeutics not considered, instead ridiculed and even banned? Surely in the presence of a lethal pandemic one would explore all options?

Tens of thousands more Brits were dying than expected and experts aren’t quite sure why that is.
From May to December last year, there were 32,441 excess deaths in England and Wales, excluding deaths from Covid.
Excess deaths are defined as the number of people who died above the five-year average - worked out excluding 2020 due to how Covid spiked death figures that year.
This means that over 32,000 Brits would’ve been expected to be alive, but died according to Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures across this period.
There is one area of the world that is not seeing the huge increase in deaths we have everywhere else

Australia's medical regulator to name, shame risky doctors under new powers
The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) will warn the public about doctors who have used non-sterile equipment, exposed patients to risk of serious infection, or administered expired vaccines.
The power to name and shame will also be used to warn about doctors advertising medical procedures for which there was no clinical evidence.
