Glamorgan Shire Council in Tasmania appears to put their financial interests in vaccination ahead of the rights of their ratepayers
The messaging from the Shire GM seemed as clear as day to me
As many of you be aware, I am currently on the VaxXed Bus heading South for a 3 1/2 week tour of the Apple Isle, Tasmania. For those who are unaware, the Bus’ reason for being is to give the vaccine-injured and the unvaccinated a voice. The Bus is a mobile film studio and those who wish to share their stories come aboard and are filmed and live-streamed to social media.
Our beautiful team of helpers has been working hard to arrange for locations for the bus to park. We prefer public spaces which usually means council-owned.
Bicheno and Triabunna are both in the Glamorgan Council Area. We have not been getting much response from them so I sent them the following email (rather long, sorry!) after speaking with one of the Council workers.
Dear Eliza,
Thank you so much for calling this morning regarding our bookings in Triabunna and Bicheno.
Here is the information you requested. I hope we can work together to bring the community in Bicheno and Triabunna the support they have asked us to provide.
My name is Meryl Dorey and I am the President and Founder of the Australian Vaccination-risks Network. We are an organisation, founded in 1994, that supports the right of everyone to make free and informed health choices for their children and for themselves.
Three years ago, just at the beginning of the Pandemic, with the help of our members, we purchased a VaxXed Bus which is a mobile film studio where we record the stories of those who have been injured by vaccines of any kind, those whose loved ones have died following vaccination and others who have no vaccinated who would like to share their experiences. Everyone who reports a death or reaction signs the outside of the bus. Since then, despite the fact that we spent over a year unable to go on the road due to lockdowns and lost our first Bus in the Northern NSW floods last February, more than 640 people have signed the bus after vaccine injuries and deaths and over 250 of those who did not vaccinate.
Without exception, those who share their stories on the Bus express gratitude and relief because they have been listened to and believed - something they deserve and which rarely happens due to the judgemental and discriminatory attitudes of many in the media.
Like Faith Ransom from Tasmania who was injured last year and has struggled since then to try and return to some sort of normalcy.
As I’m sure you are aware, this is a controversial topic and many call us anti-vaccine though most of us in this organisation (many thousands including hundreds on the East Coast of Tasmania) have taken vaccines without prior knowledge of safety, effectiveness or necessity of these shots. We are not anti-vaccine - we simply believe that everyone should have the right to access all the information about these medical procedures and to make a decision based on their own physiology and family history that works for them. My own child was permanently injured by his vaccines 34 years ago which is why I started the AVN - as a way of giving comfort and support as well as information to those who have suffered like my husband and I suffered.
We have take bookings in both Bicheno and Triabunna from community members who want to share their stories of vaccine injury on the VaxXed Bus. They deserve to have their voices heard, to be believed and to get the same support that those who are injured by disease feel. The experience is the same - the response from authorities is not.
The dates are:
Bicheno - from 9 AM until 7:30. PM
Triabunna - from 10 AM until 8 PM
The Bus is 10.4m long by 2.7m wide by 3.5m high (she’s a big girl!) and we would need a place where it can park as well as a place where we can set up our book tables. We have people who have booked in in advance to attend the day and we also have a $20 million public liability policy if that helps? We have been given permission by every other council we have spoken with in Tasmania (in some locations, we are on private land but most spots are public) and we have been doing this for 3 years without any problems.
As I said, the Triabunna Wharf was the suggested location for us in that locale but I don’t have a spot picked out for Bicheno and am open to suggestions from you if you are able to help?
I have been to Bicheno twice and specifically chose that area because we have members there and I loved it so much!
Anyway, sorry for making this so long. If you need any more information, please do let me know.
All the best,
Meryl Dorey
After not hearing back from Eliza for several days, I rang this morning and left a message. This afternoon, I received a response from Greg Ingham, General Manager of the Glamorgan Spring Bay Council as follows:
Dear Meryl
I refer to your email below to Council Community Services Officer Eliza Hazelwood.
Please be advised that Glamorgan Spring Bay Council manages two medical practices in our municipal area, one in Bicheno, the other in Triabunna. Our medical practices provide advice to patients in our community based on their specific medical needs. The values and objectives of the Australian Vaccination Network AVN do not align with our clinical advice and Councils values and objectives in regard to community health and well-being.
Therefore, Council does not support the AVN utilising Council managed property or public places for their activities.
Kind regards
Greg Ingham
GENERAL MANAGER
Well, there you have it! At least he was honest about his reasons for not allowing those who live in the Shire access to the opportunity to be listened to and believed. After all - the only reason why vaccines are still administered is because every bit of opposing information and science is suppressed and censored!
I replied to Mr Ingham as follows:
Dear Greg Ingham,
Thank you so much for writing back to me regarding my request for the VaxXed Bus to be able to park on council land in order to give the ratepayers of your Shire the right to a voice to describe what they personally experienced after receipt of a medical procedure - severe injuries and deaths.
I am very grateful that you have confirmed my suspicion that the reason why your council will not allow the Bus to park there is because of a strong vested financial interest in the vaccination regime.
I will be publicising your response widely and letting the resident of the Glamorgan Council area know that their council puts its own financial interests ahead of the rights of free speech and informed choice. This is important information for them to have.
Once again, thank you for explaining your situation so clearly. I can only hope and pray that one day, you will be able to see how wrong discrimination, censorship and suppression of the right to bodily integrity are in a formerly free and proud nation.
Kind regards,
Meryl Dorey
Now, I need to ask for your help, please.
This council needs to hear from you - even if it’s just a sentence saying that you disagree with their stance and don’t believe that any council is empowered to censor political speech in Australia.
His email address is greg.ingham@freycinet.tas.gov.au and I’m sure he would be happy to hear from you. It is especially important for you to write if you:
1- live in the Shire; or
2- Are vaccine-injured and live anywhere.
I would love to see your letters if you’d like to forward them or cc to admin@myinformedchoice.com.au.
One last thing - if you have private land anywhere near Bicheno or Triabunna and you are happy to host the VaxXed bus, I would love to hear from you! Send a letter to admin@informedchoice.com.au and let me know your name, address and contact details and I will be in touch.
